Frequently Asked Questions
How does this thing work?
First, you make a listing on the site advertising your book. Then at the beginning of next quarter, someone comes to the site looking for the books they need for their classes. They see that you're selling the book they need, so they use the form on your listing's page to send you a contact email. If they seem legit, you send them an email back, and you guys keep emailing each other until you decide on a time and place to meet and exchange the book for money.
Will other people see my email address?
Your email address will not be publicly visible, but if you respond to a message that someone sends you, that person will see your email address. So you should only respond to offers that seem legit. Also, if you contact someone who's posted a listing, that person will be able to see your email address.
Someone else has already listed the book I'm selling! What should I do?
Consider listing your book anyway. If I see that enough copies of the same book have been listed, I'll try to get a teacher who's teaching a class that uses that book to let me give a presentation in their class. If I'm successful there's a pretty good chance you'll be able to sell your book.
How do I modify or delete my listing?
You should have gotten an email when you listed your book with links to modify and delete it. If not use the feedback form to complain and we'll resend it.
No one has contacted me about any of my books yet. What's going on?
Dunno about other folks, but I (John) generally don't know what books I'm going to need for my classes until I get my course green sheets. The last day the bookstore will be buying books back is Friday, April 9, so you should be safe waiting that long.
This site is awesome! How can I help you out?
